Louise's work centres around the exploration of colour and texture, incorporating the idea of a picture within a picture. With the use of carefully selected patterns and colours Louise builds up images and scenes. At first glance the subject matter is realised but with a closer examination the layering of shade and pattern combine to form little pockets of contemporary imagery. With a background in Textile Design, texture and a love of colour have always been of importance and the marrying of these two is the backbone of her work. |
